While I was living in Prague, I took a long weekend getaway to the South of France. I divided my time between Provence to see the lavender blooms and Grasse for perfumes and Cannes for the coastline views. Everyplace I went looked like it was out of a storybook. It really was like living a dream amongst the rolling green hills, luscious lavender fields, and villa after villa climbing with vines.
Oh, springtime in Paris – can life get any better? Paris is always the city that makes me feel the most inspired, the most romantique, the most worldly, and certainly the most happy. Each visit has been unique, but still allowed me to experience the essence of the city. If you didn’t catch my initial excitement for this post, I’ll reiterate that Paris is my absolute favorite city. I love it so much, it was already my fourth time visiting and certainly not the last!
The last time I was in France, I hopped on a train to see the stunning, awe-inspiring Palace of Versailles, about ten miles outside of Paris. At that time, I didn’t think to book in advance and was heartbroken to find out they were closed that day as I approached the royal fence. When planning my most recent trip to Paris, Versailles was the first item on my list because I have been lusting to visit for years!
